The surrounding area is rich in historical sites, dating from Etruscan and Roman times. The famous medieval towns of Siena, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano, are all within easy reach. Or if you prefer a day trip to the beach, there is Punta Ala, Santo Stefano, Talamone or Parco dell'Uccellina.
The owners Gianfranco and Giulia or one of their daughters will always be available to guests to answer and give advice on what to do in the Siena area or provide information on main tourist cultural attractions in nearby towns like Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa, Chianti area, Crete Senesi, Val d' Orcia and Montalcino.
Agriturismo Andreini is a traditional Tuscan working farm. Guests are welcome to explore the farm, something that families with young children especially enjoy: on the farm you can find hens, pigs and Chianina Cows. In the fields we grow cereal, hey, vegetables, fruits trees, grapes and olives trees.
Gianfranco and Giulia Andreini have run the Agriturismo since the early 90s. There are two buildings our guests can choose from: a converted hey barn, next to the main farmhouse called La Capanna, and the Casolare Belvedere which is only a short walk from the main house. Both accommodations have been restored respecting the Tuscan country style: terracotta tile floors; wood-beamed roofs and wooden shutters using rustic yet elegant furniture.
The Farm Restaurant is known for its traditional Tuscan home-cooking, prepared using the farm's produce. Our robust full body red wine, extra virgin olive oil, vegetables, fruits, cold meats and salami, vinegar, jams, plus fresh eggs all come from the farm. Mamma Giulia is very much appreciated for her cakes and home-made jams. On request she will prepare vegetarian, vegan or celiac meals and can accommodate any food allergies our guests may have.
